Una lettera aperta alla persona che l'ama Il prossimo

Caro chi la ama dopo,

Prima di farla innamorare di te, devi sapere alcune cose. E dovete anche essere pronti a fare alcune cose. Dovete anche prepararvi ad alcune cose, perché lei non è come gli altri.

She’s not like other girls and loving her won’t be like anything you’ve experienced so far. Someone needs to prepare you for this—it might as well be me.

See, this girl you want, she’s been through a lot in her life. She’s been bruised too many times. She’s been taken for granted. She’s been broken as well.

Ha continuato a dare il massimo a ogni tentativo successivo, sperando che questa volta le cose prendessero la piega giusta. Ma ogni volta ha sperimentato un nuovo colpo di fulmine.

Le persone che avrebbero dovuto amarla l'hanno spezzata. Le persone che avrebbero dovuto essere presenti l'hanno abbandonata. Quelli che avrebbero dovuto esserci hanno scelto di non farlo.

She’s been disappointed one too many times.

Non si è mai aspettata dalle persone cose straordinarie. Si aspettava solo le cose che si meritava. Nella sua vita, sperava di ricevere almeno quanto dava. Ma a quanto pare era chiedere troppo.

One would think that after too many disappointments she’d start losing hope in everything. But she didn’t.

She never allowed herself to change just because some people didn’t bother to love her right. Instead, she always held on the hope that one day, someone will know. I pray you’ll be that someone to her.

She’s guarded now.

Una volta portava il suo cuore sulla manica. Ma il suo passato le ha insegnato a non farlo più. Le ha insegnato che non tutti meritano il suo amore e che non tutti la ameranno solo perché lei gli ha dato il suo cuore.

Così, invece di dare il suo cuore a chi lo desiderava, ha deciso di darlo a chi lo merita davvero.

She’s been let down so many times.

Others made promises that they had no intentions of keeping. They just wanted to use her kindness and made her believe that they’re willing to do everything for her like she was willing to do for them.

But even that didn’t change her.

Non ha mai smesso di essere gentile o amorevole. Non ha mai smesso di essere ciò che è. Ha un cuore più grande dello spazio a sua disposizione e nulla di ciò che le è accaduto potrebbe trasformarla in una persona nuova.

She knew that everything she’s been through in her life was a lesson and she always watches for the signs carefully, trying to read what the universe is trying to teach her.

She never gave up on love or on loving. She never got tired of the love she felt deep within and she’s been walking on this Earth hoping to find someone who’s going to love her right.

Ma ha giurato di non dare il suo amore in questo modo. Giurò di tenerlo per colui che meritava di riceverlo.

Ama la destra.

In her loving, there is no such thing as half-assed love. Whenever she loves, she gives it all in. She doesn’t hold back and she’s always honest. With her, you’ll always know where you stand.

Con lei, l'amore assume un significato completamente nuovo e il suo amore vi farà sentire come se tutti gli amori precedenti non fossero veri.

Ma arrivarci con lei è difficile.

It’s not going to be easy. You need to understand that you won’t only need to prove your worth, but you’ll also need to fight her past. She’s been through much and she just wants to stop being so naive.

Ha costruito le sue mura in modo che solo coloro che vogliono veramente provare con lei siano in grado di abbatterle.

She isn’t afraid of pain or taking another hit for love, but this time it needs to be right. It needs to be amore vero. Questa volta deve essere giusto.

E anche se non sarà facile, ne varrà la pena.

Perhaps you’ll need to try harder than you’ve ever tried. Perhaps you’ll want to give up on winning her over at times. But don’t do it. You’ll be glad you stuck by her side later.

Because if you stay and choose to fit, if you choose to be the one to knock her walls down and if you show her you’ll be there even in the darkest days, she’ll also choose to love you.

She’ll choose to let go and to stop seeing you through the prism of those who hurt her before.

And once she does that, she’ll accept you the way you are. She’ll choose to love you unconditionally and she’ll choose to make you feel like you’re the only man in this world.

Once she lets go, you’ll see what it means to have a good girl fall for you. You’ll see how it feels to be accepted completely by another human being and you’ll see what it feels to be loved just the way you are. And you’ll never want to lose that.
