Querido quien la quiera después,

Antes de enamorarla, tienes que saber algunas cosas. Y también tienes que estar preparado para hacer algunas cosas. También tienes que prepararte para algunas cosas, ya que ella no es como las demás.

She’s not like other girls and loving her won’t be like anything you’ve experienced so far. Someone needs to prepare you for this—it might as well be me.

See, this girl you want, she’s been through a lot in her life. She’s been bruised too many times. She’s been taken for granted. She’s been broken as well.

Siguió esforzándose al máximo cada vez que lo intentaba, con la esperanza de que esta vez las cosas salieran bien. Pero cada vez sufría un nuevo desengaño.

Personas que deberían haberla amado la quebraron. La gente que debería haber estado ahí la abandonó. Los que deberían haber estado ahí eligieron no hacerlo.

She’s been disappointed one too many times.

Nunca esperó de la gente cosas extraordinarias. Sólo esperaba lo que se merecía. En su vida, esperaba recibir al menos tanto como daba. Pero al parecer, eso era mucho pedir.

One would think that after too many disappointments she’d start losing hope in everything. But she didn’t.

She never allowed herself to change just because some people didn’t bother to love her right. Instead, she always held on the hope that one day, someone will know. I pray you’ll be that someone to her.

She’s guarded now.

Solía llevar el corazón en la manga. Pero su pasado le enseñó a no hacerlo más. Le enseñó que no todos merecen su amor y que no todo el mundo la querrá sólo porque ella les entregue su corazón.

She’s been let down so many times.

Others made promises that they had no intentions of keeping. They just wanted to use her kindness and made her believe that they’re willing to do everything for her like she was willing to do for them.

She knew that everything she’s been through in her life was a lesson and she always watches for the signs carefully, trying to read what the universe is trying to teach her.

She never gave up on love or on loving. She never got tired of the love she felt deep within and she’s been walking on this Earth hoping to find someone who’s going to love her right.

Pero juró no dar su amor así como así. Juró guardarlo para quien realmente mereciera recibirlo.

Ella ama a la derecha.

In her loving, there is no such thing as half-assed love. Whenever she loves, she gives it all in. She doesn’t hold back and she’s always honest. With her, you’ll always know where you stand.

Perhaps you’ll need to try harder than you’ve ever tried. Perhaps you’ll want to give up on winning her over at times. But don’t do it. You’ll be glad you stuck by her side later.

Because if you stay and choose to fit, if you choose to be the one to knock her walls down and if you show her you’ll be there even in the darkest days, she’ll also choose to love you.

She’ll choose to let go and to stop seeing you through the prism of those who hurt her before.

And once she does that, she’ll accept you the way you are. She’ll choose to love you unconditionally and she’ll choose to make you feel like you’re the only man in this world.

Once she lets go, you’ll see what it means to have a good girl fall for you. You’ll see how it feels to be accepted completely by another human being and you’ll see what it feels to be loved just the way you are. And you’ll never want to lose that.
