What is our life purpose?” This is a question that bothered me for a long time.

After having such a turbulent love life, especially after my last relationship ended, I finally understood the right answer.

Before, I thought that life was a never-ending journey of searching for love. In a way, that is true.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we all go through life searching for someone whom we would love and who would be able to reciprocate that love to us.

I know that I’m not the only one who has felt that way. It seems like it’s our only life goal; to find someone who’ll love and cherish us. To find someone to spend the rest of our life with.

The truth is, we are afraid of being single. We’re scared of growing old alone without a partner to take care of us.

One thing we forget so often is that being single is not the same as being lonely. And if you’re feeling lonely, starting a new relationship won’t help you.

If you want to live a fulfilling life, you have to fall in love with yourself before you fall in love with someone else.

You have to build and maintain a healthy self-relationship before you decide to start a relationship with someone else.

Otherwise, no matter how much you love someone or someone loves you, you’ll never be completely happy because you’ll always have a feeling that something is missing.

Truly, something will be missing. The most important part of your relationship will be missing. Without enough self-love, you’ll never be able to fully enjoy any relationship.

The thing is that most people think that the feeling of loneliness is connected to our love life. It’s not! Our relationship status doesn’t affect that at all.

You should never feel lonely because you’re always in such great company. You always have yourself. If you learn to love yourself, you’ll see that I am right.

If you find yourself, if you learn to love yourself, you’ll see how your life will change completely. I guarantee it.

Speaking from my own experience, I was blindly and constantly searching for love and it led me to many wrong choices. Choices from which I’m still suffering consequences.

It led me to many disappointments. It led me to break my own heart so many times. It left me with so many scars.

Falling in love with myself made me realize that I also have to love and embrace all those scars. They are also a part of me and they made me the person I am today. I’m proud of all my scars.

I tried so hard to find someone who would love me no matter what and I was entering into new relationships too quickly, hoping that it’d finally be the real thing.

It never was. All those relationships were failures. They were doomed from the very beginning. It was all because of a lack of self-love.

People say that you’ll find true and pure love only once you stop searching for it. I agree with it but I would only add to this: ‘and once you find love within yourself first’.

Life got a whole new meaning for me the day I stopped chasing love and started paying more attention to my self-love.

You don’t need to seek love when love is always there. Love is within you

This doesn’t mean that you’ll never find someone to ride this journey of life with, it just means that you don’t have to force it. When the time is right, true love will find you.

What is the purpose of life for you? If it’s finding your soulmate and true love, then you should change it before it gets too late.

Before you get hurt and broken-hearted. Find yourself and fall in love with the beautiful, lovely and smart human being that you are.
