The most common definition of a lightworker is someone who has a strong urge to make things right and help others.
Lightworkers—also known as star seeds, Earth angels, empaths and Indigos—are special people who are wholeheartedly drawn to healing people and the Earth from all the negativity by using their special abilities.
Lightworkers are also powerful manifestors, and they have the ability to create things with the law of attraction or control things using their thoughts and psychic abilities.
They are souls with a higher level of consciousness who have chosen to incarnate on planet Earth at this time and make the world a better place.

In other words, the real values and things that truly matter in life. You know that your higher purpose is to make the world a better place.

It took me a long time and a sequence of weird events to accept this fact and understand that all this time, I had this strong intuition within me.
For example, I remember when I was home alone still sleeping, and all of a sudden, I felt this strong sensation in my body, like warm waves that woke me up while I was in the middle of dreaming.
These sensations were telling me that someone was coming, and I couldn’t really see clearly who was coming, so I got up, washed my face, and after a minute, I heard a car entering our yard. It was my aunt.
Other examples are some situations during my college years.
Before an exam, I would often just go through some questions and turn on my intuition button to tell me whether this particular question was going to be in the upcoming exam.
And, to my surprise and disbelief, 90% of the questions I intuited truly were on the exam.
Also, I remember warning others when something bad was about to happen and choosing different paths in order to avoid clashes and inconveniences.

When you see an animal on the street that is wounded, you feel deep pain inside yourself because someone has left that hurt creature alone on the street without even trying to help it.
And you take matters into your own hands and make sure to help the poor thing.
When you watch the news and see the injustice done to people by politicians and governments, you experience it intensely.
You feel like you’re going to burst from all those overwhelming feelings of wanting to right the wrongs and change things.
Every type of injustice makes you irritated and frustrated.
At the same time, it gives you this abnormal strength, making you feel ten times stronger, as if you are capable of dealing with things that are bigger than you.
And that strength motivates you to take things into your hands—at least things that you can deal with.
I remember when I was in college. We had this terrible professor who was tormenting us mentally on so many levels.
Exams were more like quantum physics, and the criteria were impossible. I was the only one who somehow managed to pass the exams.
All my colleagues were failing it multiple times.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I politely asked the professor why he was doing this to us, and since he didn’t really give me a satisfying answer, I contacted those who were above him.
They were shocked by his behavior, so they told him to change his approach and make things right.
And he did it.
He gave them the same exam but changed the criteria, so every single one of them passed.
What is specifically interesting is the fact that the professor also contacted me and asked me: Why have you done this since you have passed my every exam without any trouble?
And I told him that I did it for the others. I couldn’t stand the injustice, so I decided to do something about it just like every lightworker out there.
You have a strong urge and desire to make the world a better place
When you’re observing the world we live in, you see things realistically.
You don’t turn a blind eye to all those negative things happening around us, but you observe them carefully and with understanding because you have a strong urge and desire to make the world a better place.
You’ve never been focused on yourself only because you care deeply about other people’s happiness.
You care about your family, your pet, your friends, strangers on the street, and every other human being on Earth.
You want all of them to be happy, carefree, and blessed. But, you’re aware of the fact that this is not really possible because every person’s life will always have both negative and positive sides.
And that’s where you come into the story.

You often feel like you don’t belong here
You love your home, your family, friends and the environment you live in, but you still feel like you don’t belong here.
You often have this feeling of emptiness within your soul because you feel as if you were born in a different place, far away from the world you live in.
You feel this way because your soul family is spread out all around the galaxy, and you miss all these connections.
You feel homesick because your true spiritual home is somewhere else.
These feelings of homesickness can make you feel drained, lost, and utterly confused to the extent of not being able to function properly.
Although you might want to talk about it with someone, you know that no one will understand you (unless they’re going through the same thing).
When I was younger, I remember that I had this weird feeling and assumption that I was adopted because I never felt like I belonged to the place where I lived or to my family.
And no, I wasn’t adopted. When I crossed that off my list, I was constantly in pursuit of finding reasons and explanations why I felt this way because it was really draining.
And then, a few years later, after a series of spiritual events, I found myself getting closer and closer to the real answer.
And the answer was lightworker.
In the past, I didn’t understand that lightworkers have an inborn feeling of not belonging here because they are spiritual beings, and their real home is somewhere else.
But, when you accept the fact that you’re here for a higher purpose, it gets easier to accept the fact that this is the place where you should be for the time being.
It’s easier to understand that Earth is your second home in which you’re on a mission to change things, fight against evil, and spread joy.
It’s a mission that will change you completely, awaken all of your senses, and connect you with your higher self.
You have a rebellious nature
Since you have this tendency to question everything and to constantly weigh right and wrong, you also have this rebellious nature.
You simply refuse to blindly obey without requiring valid reasons why you should do so.
Your rebellious nature doesn’t fit into traditional authority models and the rules imposed by them.
You can’t understand why we have to follow this monotonous sequence of getting up, going to work, going back home, watching TV or something else, going to sleep, and then doing it all over again without ever questioning everything.
You can’t understand why we’re killing ourselves for a piece of paper that is called ‘money’ when we could be doing more adventurous and valuable things that could benefit the whole world.
You’re feeling rebellious about all these questions, and you can’t stand authority in its every form.
All you want for yourself and everyone else is to live carefree, to have as much as needed, to share joy and wisdom, and to focus on things that really matter in life.
You don’t want to chase happiness. You want to create happiness, and the authorities are making it quite impossible, so the only thing left is to change things bit by bit and to protest whenever you have the chance to do so because that’s what lightworkers do.
Lightworkers don’t fit into modern workplace structures either and because of that, it’s really hard for a lightworker to find something they truly enjoy doing.
Their sense of a higher purpose makes it difficult for them to fit into any job category, but there are some occupations that are the closest to the concept of lightworker.
These are teachers, writers, preachers, singers or any type of artist.
From my personal experience, I can undoubtedly confirm that this is really true.
From the above mentioned choices, singing and drawing abstract art are my hobbies, while I write for a living.
All these activities make me feel complete and in tune with my higher self because I create, and by creating, I’m sharing particles of myself and my spirituality with the world.
You enjoy deep, meaningful conversations
Lightworkers can’t stand trivial or fake conversations, and they simply are not satisfied with small talk.
Instead, they enjoy deep, meaningful conversations that include topics such as the meaning of life, the pursuit of happiness, spiritualism, and also some weird topics like alien invasions or embarrassing moments.
As already said, lightworkers observe the world with different, spiritualistic eyes, and that’s why they require more when it comes to conversations.
They are not satisfied with a conversation that doesn’t make them think outside the box or influences them to change their perspective and see things from a different angle.
Deep, meaningful conversations are like food for every lightworker because through such conversations, they grow and become more in touch with their true selves.
Also, they share a part of their mindset, their wisdom, and their spirituality with the person they’re talking to.
To every lightworker, this is a gift and at the same time a curse because it’s hard for them to find people they will truly enjoy talking to and to find people who will understand their need for bonding through long sessions of deep conversations.
So, when they finally find someone who will be able to reciprocate, it feels like a real jackpot.
You understand the difference between fake ideals and real values
Some people’s life goals are limited to buying a powerful car, expensive clothes, makeup, and so on, but the life goals of lightworkers significantly differ.
It’s because lightworkers understand the difference between fake ideals and real values.
They don’t pursue materialistic things in life. Instead, they invest in things that can make them richer mentally and spiritually.
If you’re a lightworker, you would rather spend your money on travelling than on expensive clothes that you’ll wear just a few times for specific occasions.
If you’re a lightworker, you can’t stand people who pay more attention to things than their behavior.
You can’t stand manipulation by the media, their propaganda of perfection, and their brainwashing people to buy certain products in order to become truly happy.
You know that all this is just a big pile of bullshit and one of the biggest problems of today’s society.
You have this urge to tell people to open their eyes and stop investing in makeup and other artificial things in order to become beautiful.
You want to teach them to invest in their mind and soul because that’s what makes them truly beautiful.
Real values like love, patience, understanding, compassion, effort, and trust are often neglected, and you feel like it’s your holy duty to bring them back to life and to show to the world that these are the only things we should focus on if we want to reach ultimate happiness.
You understand that everything happens for a reason
When something bad happens, most people naturally react with dissatisfaction and madness.
They feel hopeless, but lightworkers experience these things differently. They understand that everything happens for a reason, and that’s why they don’t have this need to curse everything and everyone because of it.
Instead, they have a higher consciousness about good and bad. They see good as a state that’s most comfortable to be in, and they see bad as something necessary for our development instead of something totally undesirable.
So, you know that you’re a lightworker if you accept everything good and bad that happens to you with understanding and with the mindset that everything happens for a reason.
You understand that every heartbreak makes you stronger and wiser, that every bad thing teaches you a valuable lesson, and that the universe never takes something away from you without replacing it with something better .
You understand the saying: ‘If you want the rainbow, you have to deal with the rain’.
And you’re fully determined to deal with that rain; with all the bad things because you know that these things will shape you into the person that you ought to be—into a true lightworker who has a sensitive heart, sharp mind, and strong desire to improve things around you.
You feel the presence of divine guidance
Every human being has their own spirit guide and angel of protection.
The difference between regular human beings and lightworkers is in the fact that lightworkers have the ability to realize this and connect with these spiritual beings earlier during life.
And that’s the main reason why you feel the presence of divine guidance.
You feel their presence because you’re aware of your spirituality and of the presence of these spiritually energetic beings in your life.
You’re aware of their divine guidance because you understand that the reason you’re here is to change the world and do things that will improve the lives of others and the world in general.

It’s like a warm sensation that constantly reminds you of your “higher duty”, of right and wrong, of good and bad, and of being a lightworker—a chosen one who was born to light up the world!
