¿Qué significa tener integridad?
Cuando hablamos de un hombre o mujer íntegranormalmente nos referimos a alguien moralmente coherente. La integridad es la determinación de hacer siempre lo correcto a toda costa.
Jesús era un hombre íntegro. Ser cristiano es seguir el ejemplo de Cristo.
God gives us integrity. It’s the seed of goodness in people that each person needs to cultivate.
Cuando la tenemos de verdad, ninguna tentación puede romperla. A person with integrity can’t be compromised because it’s a part of their being.

¿Qué significa ser una mujer íntegra?
Ser una mujer íntegra significa vivir cada día de forma honesta y recta.
La integridad viene del corazón. Se necesita coherencia de pensamiento, decisions, and actions to build a life of integrity – consistency in choosing to do what’s right every day.
Una mujer así es moralmente incorruptible porque su integridad le confiere resistencia frente a la corrupción.
That isn’t to say that it isn’t challenging – it takes great strength and conviction to decide to do good at any cost every day.
The temptation to walk the easy path is great, yet she resists it because she couldn’t live with herself otherwise.

A woman of integrity lives life guided by her principles. We’re going to examine them one by one, but all of them come down to always doing the right thing.
Good character and a good life don’t just happen. Se construyen adhiriéndose a la normas y valores que se ajustan a un código moral de forma coherente y consciente.
Ser una persona sana es una tarea interminable.
Let’s take a look at some examples of what a life of integrity is in practice.
1. Desinterés
Una mujer íntegra se siente más realizada cuando puede hacer algo por los demás. Her focus is on other people’s needs – she’s generous with her love, time, and resources.
Ayudar a los demás y mejorar sus vidas le da felicidad. A menudo antepone las necesidades de los demás a las suyas propias.
Al desvivirse por ayudar a la gente, su compasión y caridad se expresan con hechos y no con meras palabras.
Sus actos desinteresados cotidianos demuestran su dedicación a hacer del mundo un lugar mejor.
2. Responsabilidad
Tenemos un responsabilidad por las cosas que podemos controlar. Ella lo entiende y se toma en serio su responsabilidad personal, social y profesional.
Desempeña sus funciones con diligencia y esfuerzo. Trabajar en temas sociales es algo que considera su obligación.
Sus recursos y capacidades se utilizan para hacer cosas buenas. She’s aware that her behavior has an impact on the world around her.

3. Rendición de cuentas
If you ever found out and there were no consequences, would you do something that isn’t right? Our character shows what we do when no one but God is looking.
A woman of integrity doesn’t follow principles out of fear of punishment but because of her character. Her moral imperative is her will to do right.

4. Perdón
Como mujer cristiana, entiende que el perdón trae libertad. Nos libera de la ira y la amargura y nos da paz.
Para ser perdonados, debemos perdonar a los demás.
Para perdonar, debemos afrontar lo ocurrido y aceptar que nos ha hecho daño. Debemos tomar la decisión de perdonar y no esperar a sentirlo.
Toma decisiones conscientes para liberar sentimientos de resentimiento hacia alguien que le ha hecho mal.
Como alguien que deja pasar las cosas y doesn’t hold grudges, she’s the first to offer forgiveness and look for reconciliation.
5. Paciencia
Because she’s a follower of la palabra de Dios, she’s influenced by God’s own patience with humankind which inspires her to show mercy and restraint.
With her sense of understanding, she knows that people have their reasons for their actions, and she doesn’t judge. Se muestra indulgente con quienes la ponen a prueba.

6. Humildad
A woman with integrity isn’t self-righteous.
Her virtuous life is something that comes from a feeling that she must do right. It’s inner peace and not recognition that she’s looking for.
God’s opinion is above everyone else’s for her. She strives to dejar ir su ego. Her self-confidence doesn’t make her prideful.
By acknowledging that she isn’t always right, she apologizes when she’s wrong and listens to what people say. She gives credit where credit is due and doesn’t take other people’s glory.

7. Amabilidad
Integrity supports doing good. Welcoming it into your life means that you’re always helping other people.
She follows Jesus’ example and loves everyone. Su amor se manifiesta en sus buenas acciones.

8. Respetar
Una mujer que vive su vida haciendo siempre lo correcto valora a los demás y les muestra respeto.
Acepta a las personas por lo que son y las trata con cariño. She respects other people’s feelings, boundaries, and choices.
Siempre educada y atenta, esta mujer sabe escuchar. She’s considerate and shows appreciation.

9. Honestidad
She tells the truth at all costs. She has the courage to say “no.”
A veces decimos mentirijillas para mantener la paz o para que la gente se sienta mejor consigo misma.
But when people become aware of this, it breaks their trust and makes them wonder what else we’ve been lying about.
En cambio, lo que hace una mujer íntegra es ayudarles. La falsa sensación de comodidad es temporal, pero el apoyo y la aceptación permanecen.
10. Confianza
Sus incuestionables valores morales la hacen irreprochable. Quienes la conocen saben que pueden contar con ella y confiarle cualquier cosa.
Esta mujer es honorable, fiable y cumple su palabra. Cuando promete algo, hace lo que dice.
She’s the kind of person people can put their children, their valuables, and their secrets into her hands and have faith that she’ll take care of them.
11. Compasión
Tiene fe en la gente. Trata de ver lo bueno en todo el mundo y concede a todos el beneficio de la duda. She always has people’s feelings in mind.
Even when someone acts in a way that’s less than good, she understands that we don’t know what problems they may have in their personal lives that make them do it.
Comprensión y empatía son importantes para ella, pero también pasa a la acción. Cuando otras personas sufren, hace todo lo posible por ayudar.
12. Autenticidad
She’s always genuinely herself. Her moral compass guides her, and she has conviction in her beliefs. She’s true to herself even under pressure and expectations not to be.
Una mujer íntegra es honesta sobre sus opiniones y las comunica de forma sincera. This doesn’t mean that she’s cruel or unkind – she accepts people and shows goodwill but doesn’t hide herself.
Tener integridad significa que hacer lo correcto es absoluto y tener autenticidad significa que sus decisiones y elecciones están en consonancia con sus valores.

3. “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” — Proverbs 12:22
4. “To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” – Proverbs 21:3
5. “Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” – Proverbs 28:6

Nota final
