I know you’ve gotten used to this girl. And when I say you’ve gotten used to her, I don’t mean you just got used to her presence in your life. No—you’ve gotten used to everything she’s been giving you and I am not referring to her body here.
You’ve gotten used to this girl loving you, without you loving her back the way you should.
You got used to her always being there for you, to having her support and loyalty, no matter what.
You always knew that this girl was someone you could rely on, even if everyone else turned their backs on you.
You knew she was the only one rooting for you, no matter what you did, the only one honestly enjoying your every success and the only one sharing all of your grief.
This was the only girl who couldn’t be happy when you were sad and who always tried to make you smile.
You knew she had been the only person in this world who loved you unconditionally, even when you least deserved it.
The only one who believed in you, when no one else did and even when you stopped believing in yourself.
But instead of appreciating this, you used her. You used her love for you and the fact that she was naive and sensitive.
You knew very well that she had always had a weak spot for you and that you were the only person in this world she could never turn down and you took advantage of this very well.
You’ve been giving her only crumbs of your love and attention—just enough to keep her around.
This is the first person you call whenever you are in trouble, whenever you need a shoulder to cry on, whenever you need advice or guidance or just when you need to talk to someone.
And you’ve gotten used to her always being there, so with time, you’ve started taking her for granted, assuming that you didn’t have to put any effort into your relationship, that you didn’t have to give her any love or appreciation and that she would stay by your side, despite your treatment.
Well, guess what? She won’t. There will come a time when this girl will see you for who you really are—an egocentric, selfish asshole.
There will come a time when this girl will stop seeing you as this vulnerable, lost boy who needs her hand to hold through life.
She will see your true colors and she will have had enough.
And at the same time, she will see herself for who she really is. She will finally see her worth and she will realize you don’t deserve her time, patience, efforts or energy.
She will finally realize you don’t deserve the love she has been giving you and that you don’t deserve her.
And that is when she’ll walk away from you.
That is when it will be too late to do anything because she’ll grow tired of you and the way you’ve been treating her.
And that is when you’ll realize what you have done and what you have lost. But there won’t be anything you can do about it.
Because when she finally realizes everything, she won’t be able to look at you the same ever again.
So please do something before it’s too late.
Because she won’t wait forever for you to come to your senses. She won’t wait for you to start appreciating her and all of her efforts and sacrifices.
She won’t wait much longer for you to start loving and treating her the way she deserves.
