If They Aren’t Ready To Love You, You Need To Let Them Go

If They Aren’t Ready To Love You, You Need To Let Them Go

There comes a moment in all of our lives when we have to stop running away from reality.

That moment when you simply must face the truth, no matter how painful and harsh it might get.

The moment when you have to come to terms with the fact that some people are not meant to be, as much as you want them to be.

That you can’t keep on waiting for love that will never come, and that you can’t keep getting all your hopes about someone who will never give you what you deserve.

There comes a point when you have to accept that there are some people who will never give you the love you need and there is nothing you can do about it.

So please, stop lying to yourself.  Stop looking for excuses and stop giving endless second chances.

No, your love won’t inspire them to become the people you need and want them to be.

They won’t change their ways or understand how much pain they’re causing you. They won’t try hard not to lose you before it’s too late.

No, you won’t save them. They won’t miraculously come to their senses and see that you don’t deserve to be treated this way.

Instead, they will continue using your kind heart for as long as they can.

They will keep on taking advantage of you and expecting you to always give them yourself completely without you getting anything in return.

They will carry on treating you like trash without ever appreciating any of your efforts.

They will keep on playing you for a fool and asking everything while giving nothing.

This goes for everyone in your life who doesn’t love you back and who doesn’t appreciate you: for your romantic partner, that toxic friend, and even your closest family members.

Remember: whoever doesn’t treat you the way you deserve to be treated doesn’t deserve a place in your life. It’s as simple as that.

You have to understand this: whoever isn’t ready to love you now won’t ever love you.

Whoever disrespects you now will never give you the respect you need.

Whoever treats you like a consolation prize now will never give you a place on their priority list.

Whoever doesn’t value your presence needs to feel your absence right away.

So when do you plan on putting an end to all of these relationships in which you’re the only one who’s trying?

When do you plan on accepting that you’re just wasting your time on those who don’t deserve you, never did, and never will?

Remember that we all accept the treatment we think we deserve. You’re the one who settles for this half-ass love, the one who accepts zero effort.

You’re the person who keeps on giving people the green light to continue hurting you, by giving them all those second chances.

The one who settles for fake friendships and pseudo romantic relationships.

So, when will you accept that it’s about time you take your life into your own hands and stop putting the keys of your happiness into someone else’s?

When will you realize that the only real option you have is to let go?

To leave everyone who doesn’t love you in the past and to move on in your new future, without anyone holding you back or putting you down?

That it’s time you stop choosing others over yourself and time to start loving yourself more than anyone else?

I won’t lie to you – doing all of this will be everything but easy and it won’t happen overnight.

Cutting ties with people you love, despite them not loving you back, is one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do.

But it will help you grow. It will help you see your true inner strength and become an upgraded version of yourself.

Yes, you’ll feel like you’re breaking your own heart. But it is the choice you have to make – for your own good.

However, I want you to trust me on this one: all of the pain you will go through will be worth it.

It will teach you that you don’t need anyone who doesn’t need you back, that you can always make it on your own.

Most importantly, it will teach you to know better next time.

To always give exactly as much effort as you’re getting and to never put your life on hold, waiting for someone to become ready to love you.
