Self-care is so important, especially these days when life is utterly unpredictable. This 30 day self love challenge aims to alleviate negative thoughts and put your mental health in focus.
The goal here is to help you get out of your funk and seize every day like it’s your last one.
These inspiring activities will help you boost your self-esteem, declutter your mind, and better your daily routine.
We all need some positivity in our lives, and this 30-day challenge will remind you that days of self-love should outnumber those you spend dwelling on negativity.
It’s time for some serious self-talk, in order to convince yourself that personal development is indeed possible and to take back control of your life.
Don’t let setbacks discourage you from living a fulfilled life. Your future is in your hands, and this is how you’ll make the best of it.

DAY 1: Make a list of things you love about yourself
To start this 30-day challenge in the best way possible, it’s only fitting to commence with self-love.
Write down 5 things you love about yourself the most. That way, your self-confidence will thrive and you will finally see that there is so much more to you than you give yourself credit for.
You deserve some praise for the things you do well, and it all needs to start with you. This will highlight all of your beautiful qualities and help you put things into perspective.
Yes, we all go through dark periods, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate your resilience and perseverance.
Quite the contrary – finding little things to be happy about is what will help you pull through even the darkest moments.
DAY 2: Quiet your mind by practicing mindfulness
And why not start right now? Take 5-10 minutes of your day and decide to dedicate it to your mental health.
Focus on simply being present and in tune with your mind.
This is all about giving yourself a much-needed break, alleviating all the stress you may be feeling, and getting in touch with your mind, body, and soul.
It’s simple, easy, doesn’t take much of your time, and allows you to start each day mentally ready for what’s ahead.
And this 30-day self-love challenge is all about you and your inner happiness. Be your own best friend and put yourself first for once.
DAY 3: Indulge yourself
Let today be all about allowing yourself some healthy (or not so healthy) indulgence without an ounce of guilt.
Do you enjoy chocolate chip cookies? Go buy them and eat it all while watching the Real Housewives. You deserve it!
Are you an ice-cream fanatic? Do the same and get yourself the biggest one.
Just make sure you don’t overdo it in a way that will make you sick later on. If you ask me, all is allowed but in moderation.
Today is about doing something for yourself without having to justify it to anyone.
Eat a cookie (or a whole bunch), bake an entire cake if you want, or have your favorite plate of Mexican food at your favorite restaurant.
The choices are endless, and they are yours for the taking.
DAY 4: Take a day off from social media
You know you need it – we all do. Self-love is vital, and we all know first-hand how detrimental social media can be for your self-confidence.
So today, steer clear. No social media and no checking your phone. This is your much-needed social media detox.
Self-care is greatly dependent on how capable we are to just unplug and listen to what our body is telling us.
Can you imagine how much time you’ll have on your hands now that this is your rule for today? It’s going to be extremely beneficial for your sound mind, not to mention how refreshing it’ll make you feel.
And tomorrow, you can check your emails and respond to your DMs.
Remember, if somebody really needs you, they can always call you up. So rest assured that all is well and nobody’s life depends on your online presence.
Take a deep breath and do whatever you please today.

DAY 5: Read a new book
Reading new books is one of my favorite things, along with discovering a new, awesome podcast.
In order to sharpen your mind and truly dedicate yourself to self-care, learning new things is really important. Never underestimate the power of a good book.
There is no better way to learn, explore, and discover than by reading wise words of people who have gone through some challenges and lived to tell the tale.
Self-love means allowing yourself to grow every single day. And books are one of the best ways to enrich your soul.

DAY 6: Have a mid-day relaxation session
Sometimes, we all just need a nap, right? No, but seriously. The whole premise behind this 30 day self love challenge is self-care.
And allowing yourself a break during the day (no matter how hectic it is) will be crucial for how the rest of your day pans out.
You know what I like to do? There are days when I’m just so stressed – what with work, life stuff, my health, and whatnot – that I just shut it all off for 10 minutes and have a dance session.
I’m not even joking. When I feel like I’m at my breaking point, I get up, turn on my favorite playlist, and dance it out like no one’s watching (because no one is, lol).
It’s fun, relaxing, and makes me forget about what I’m doing and the stress I’m feeling. Try it. Do it in a way that allows you to unwind and relax completely.
It’s only a few minutes of your day, but it works wonders for your mind.
DAY 7: Declutter your home
Don’t you just feel the best when your home is clean, clear, and everywhere you look gives you a sense of accomplishment?
I know I do. That is why I encourage you to declutter your home (or your favorite room), which will, in turn, declutter your mind.
Rearrange the furniture you’ve been meaning to for ages now. Get rid of all the clothes you haven’t worn in over a year.
Put all of your clothing items where they belong, throw out the trash, dust all of your surfaces, and change your sheets.
These are the things that make your living space much more livable and your general sense of accomplishment will give you the push to be even more productive than you were planning on being that day.
DAY 8: Put your life goals in writing
This is very simple, yet extremely beneficial for your long-term success.
Put three things on a piece of paper. Let those things be the goals you wish to accomplish someday.
Some may be nothing but a dream right now, but some might be viable. The purpose of writing them down is not to ever forget about what you truly want.
Life will take you many places, but never let it make you forget what you wish for yourself. And no, it’s not wishful thinking.
This is your way of assuring yourself that you will always try to make your goals and dreams a reality.
DAY 9: Laughter is the best medicine!
Laugh your booty off. Go watch a funny new comedy. Spend a day with your best friend because you know it will lead to a lot of LOLs.
Do whatever sets your soul on fire and makes your heart really happy.
It’s all about surrounding yourself with people who can make you laugh when all you want to do is cry!
Do you have those people in your life? If so, dedicate this day to them and let them make your belly hurt from laughter.
DAY 10: Involve the rest of your household
You’re not the only one in the house, right? So why should every house chore be on you? That’s just not right.
Let this day be all about involving your family members and having them all pitch in equally.
That way, it’ll all get done so much faster, and it’ll be a nice joint experience where everyone did something nice.
Especially if you’re having a bad day. Let your loved ones help you out!
It’s your home together and it’s only fitting that every single member puts in some effort in maintaining it.
DAY 11: Start journaling
This is something I thoroughly love to do. And I find that it works best in the evenings, as a way to prepare myself for the following day.
And that is why I wanted to include it in this amazing 30 day self love challenge. This is a beautiful way to have your thoughts neatly written down in case you forget something the next day.
You can write about your thoughts, feelings, experiences, or plans. It’s all up to you!
I find it really helpful when I’m stress-ridden, as it allows me to see my innermost thoughts that always somehow center me and alleviate my negative thoughts.
DAY 12: Celebrate your tiny victories
This will not only help with your productivity levels, but it will also help you see what an awesome employee you are!
There is always something to be happy about. It can be a successful task you didn’t think you’d excel at (which you did) or a project you put together and implemented to perfection.
This will help you if you’re feeling stuck and remind you of all the accomplishments you never give much thought to.
You are always doing much better than you think you are.
DAY 13: Try a new meal you’d never normally go for
In life, it’s important to always try new things. And when it comes to food, why not be a little adventurous?
Go to that new restaurant and try that meal you’ve been wanting to taste for weeks. So what if you end up not liking it?
Now you’ll know for sure! Never deny yourself these tiny pleasures and just eat whatever you please.
Life is too short to always play it safe. Branch out, explore, and see what else is out there. You might just be surprised at what you discover.

DAY 14: Forgive someone today
Maybe your sister stole your T-shirt and you’ve been holding a grudge for days. Or maybe it’s a more serious matter, like your best friend betraying your trust.
Whatever it is, choose to forgive them. It’s more for you than it is for them.
Find it in your soul to see things from their point of view and decide that you will no longer carry this resentment with you.
You don’t have to let them back in if they did you wrong. Just forgive for the sake of your own peace of mind.
DAY 15: Do some self-pampering
Wear something that makes you feel beautiful. Get a new haircut and take as many selfies as you want.
Go have a mani-pedi or visit a spa with your best friend. Part of self-love is feeling good in your own skin. So do just that.
Do whatever makes you feel confident and happy, and dedicate your day to it. When you’re feeling your best, your self-love will thrive.
Nobody is perfect, but you can darn well feel like it for this one glorious day.
DAY 16: The power of saying NO
You can say no and still be a good person, you know? There is nothing wrong with knowing your boundaries and not letting anyone cross them.
As part of this 30 day self love challenge, I want you to learn to say no without feeling bad about it. Try it – it’s not that hard!
Next time someone asks for a favor you’re not comfortable with, say no. It’s okay, I promise.
It’ll start getting easier the more you do it and you’ll see that you can’t please everyone. And that’s totally fine.
DAY 17: Get rid of a bad habit
We all have them, don’t worry. But why not take this opportunity to get rid of at least one of them.
It will definitely make your loved ones happier, not to mention that it will help you see that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Be kind to yourself in the process and take it one step at a time. Maybe you want to stop smoking, or you’re desperate to stop biting your nails!
It’s totally doable. Do some research and get on it. Easy does it.
DAY 18: Catch up with your loved ones
Spend some quality time with the people who matter most. If you haven’t seen your mom in a while, give her a call, and meet up for coffee.
If you miss your best friend, FaceTime her right now and have a long heart-to-heart. The same goes for any other important person in your life whose presence you crave.
Never take for granted the people who make your life better. A little bit of effort goes a long way.
DAY 19: Get a new hobby
For me, I was always such a huge fan of dancing. It took me so long to actually make up my mind and go for it, but boy did it pay off!
I sincerely encourage you to pursue a hobby you’ve always secretly wanted to take up.
It can be anything from sports-related activities to piano lessons, painting classes to learning a new language.
It’s never too late to learn something new and enrich your life, and therein your soul.
DAY 20: Pay it forward
Or in other words, give back. It can be a seemingly small act of kindness that will mean the world to another person.
Pay the toll for a total stranger in line behind you, or write a sweet encouraging note to your co-worker. These things really matter in the grand scope of things.
Do something meaningful without expecting anything back, and you’ll see how enriching it can be.

DAY 21: Exercise!
When’s the last time you went for a jog? Or took a long stroll?
Exercise is so important for your overall health, not to mention how invigorating it makes you feel. Listen to your body and engage in some physical activity.
It can be as simple as going for a short run, or you can actually go to a gym with a friend and decide to make a lifestyle change.
It’s totally up to you, but just remember that taking care of your body, mind, and soul should trump any need for unhealthy habits.
DAY 22: Buy yourself a beautiful bouquet of flowers
So what if you get flowers for yourself? There is nothing wrong with wanting to make your home look stunning.
The smell of the flowers each morning, along with having a scented candle right next to it, will make each day so much more pleasant.
It really is the simple things in life that end up making the biggest difference, don’t you think?
DAY 23: Watch a sunset
Sunsets are my favorite part of the day. There is something so soothing and reassuring in observing them.
As part of the 30 day self-love challenge, I want you to thoroughly enjoy a sunset with someone you deeply care for.
Sit down, have a glass of wine, enjoy the view, and don’t bother yourself with words. Sometimes they are just so unnecessary. Enjoy the moment and don’t try to describe it.
It’s enough that you’re in it.
DAY 24: Disconnect from all of your electronics
Yes, you heard that right. Not just your social media, leave your iPhone, Android, tablet, and laptop in another room, and just unplug.
Disconnect from all of it and enjoy some time actually doing stuff in real life.
Instead of texting all day with your best friend, meet up and chat in person. Instead of calling your mom to ask for advice, go visit her and brighten her day.
Life is so much more beautiful when you’re reminded of how priceless real-life moments are. And let’s admit it, sometimes our phones make us forget about it.
You don’t need a vision board to help you remember the importance of human contact. Make that choice and don’t look back!
DAY 25: What about your health?
If you’ve been reluctant to visit a doctor even though you’ve been feeling unwell, let this 30-day challenge inspire you to go today.
Taking care of your health is of utmost importance (both physical and mental).
Don’t postpone going to your doctor just because you think it’s nothing. It’s better to be safe than sorry, right?
Don’t play around with your health. Take it seriously. If you don’t, who will?
DAY 26: Go shopping
I’ve got your attention now, don’t I? Well, sometimes, you just need new clothes, and there’s nothing wrong with upgrading your wardrobe.
Get ready for the summer by getting some new, cute outfits and that gorgeous one-piece you’ve been eyeing for weeks.
After all, retail therapy is the best therapy! Just kidding of course.
All I’m saying is, if you need to restock, today’s the day to do it. You work hard and love harder, and today is your day to make yourself happy.
DAY 27: Soak up some rays
If you spend the majority of your days indoors, take this opportunity to get some much-needed sun!
If you don’t live near a beach, a balcony will do. Put on some sunscreen, blast your favorite music, and enjoy the sun and the ultimate relaxation.
You’re probably not getting nowhere near enough sun, so let’s work on that, shall we?

DAY 28: Pay a compliment to a total stranger
But it has to be genuine. On your ride to work, if you notice someone doing something nice for another person, be sure to notice and say how kind that is of them.
If you happen to see an incredibly beautiful person, tell them how dashing they look. I know it may seem weird, but wouldn’t it make you blush if a total stranger told you how pretty you were?
It doesn’t have to be anything big. Just offer a word of kindness to someone you don’t know. You honestly never know how much it could light up their day.
DAY 29: Pet an animal
Animals are just the best. I genuinely adore all animals, but dogs are by far my favorite. If I could, I would literally spend all day with as many dogs as possible.
They just make my soul smile! So as the penultimate day of this 30 day self love challenge, go pet a doggo or kitten!
It can be your neighbor’s pet, a friend’s, colleague’s, or even loved-starved animals at the local rescue center.
Spend some time with precious animals, as they are believed to work wonders for your mental health – plus they adore the attention!
DAY 30: Step out of your comfort zone and do something scary
This is your final day of the 30 day self love challenge. Want to end it with a bang? Then here’s an idea. I hope you’re sitting down.
Try something you’ve always been afraid to try but secretly really want to do! Perhaps… bungee jumping?
Whatever will get your adrenaline pumping – just do it! Make arrangements in advance, of course, and don’t chicken out at the last minute.
Whether it’s driving a race car or going sky-diving, either go all-in or don’t do it at all. Today is the day to leave your comfort zone and get your blood flowing.
Self-love means branching out into things you’ve never tried but really want to. Go, go, go! It’ll be one for the books
(I just know it).
