Are you familiar with the feeling when you fall in love with someone so deeply, that it even makes you think that you can’t live without that person?
You’re ready to do whatever it takes to keep them in your life. He’s the man of your dreams and you’re hoping that one day he’ll feel the same about you.
After some time, though, you start to realize that it’s impossible to make someone love you. You constantly tried to get closer to him, but it actually pushed him away.
You gave your all to that one person and somewhere along the way, you lost yourself. You got tired of having to prove your worth and your love to someone.
You got sick of chasing someone who’ll never be able to appreciate all those things you did for him.
Here are some pieces of advice that will help you to let go of him and move on with your life.
1. You weren’t meant for each other
If you are destined to be together, then you won’t have to chase him. And if you are chasing him, it means that he isn’t the right guy for you.
Then you have only one option left: to let him go. Mr. Right will come someday and he’ll show you what true love is.
You won’t have to try that hard to win and keep that person because he’ll choose you himself.
Give up on him. You deserve someone who’ll love you and choose you no matter what.
Chasing him will only bring you more pain because he won’t change. If you don’t want to spend your life in pain, you have to let him go.
2. Start chasing self-love
Remind yourself of your worth and never let anyone disrespect you. If you lack self-respect, then you’ll allow others to treat you how they want, without any respect.
However, if you respect yourself enough, then you’ll be able to walk away from or let go of people who make you unhappy or unloved.
3. You deserve to be chased
You’re the one who deserves to be chased. If you show a man how much you love him every day, then is it really too much to expect that they do the same for you?
You are a unique, one-of-a-kind girl and if someone doesn’t see it, then it’s his loss.
You don’t have to make him see it, because he’ll realize it once he loses you. And then he’ll be left with a broken heart.
You deserve someone who sees you at your worst but still chooses to stay.
Someone who’ll love you the strongest even when you are being the most difficult to love.
4. Don’t ever humiliate yourself
Chasing him will always make you look desperate and pathetic.
I know the fact that you are losing him and not able to do anything about it is driving you nuts. But you should never show him that you are desperate for his love.
Be brave. I know that watching a man you love leave your life hurts so bad. But you have to grin and bear it.
Don’t humiliate yourself for someone who doesn’t even deserve you.
Don’t do that to yourself. You know you are better than that – that you deserve more than that.
5. You can’t force him to love you
Chasing someone won’t make them love you. That’s only how you’ll push them further away. To be honest, no one likes pathetic people who just don’t know when to stop.
There is nothing wrong with you, but you have to understand that the harsh reality is you can never make someone love you. Love is something that can’t be forced.
If you truly love him, all you can do is wait. Stop chasing him and see what will happen.
Maybe it’ll make him realize that no one will love him as much as you do, and he’ll start to appreciate all those things you’ve done for him.
Maybe then he’ll start chasing you. If he doesn’t, then it means that it’s time to let him go forever.
Accept it and move on, no matter how painful it is. Time will heal all those wounds.
6. You’ll be left with a broken heart
Chasing him will only lead you to heartbreak. And your own expectations will be the only thing to blame for that.
Every time you’re full of expectations that this time something will change – that he’ll finally love you the same.
But every time those expectations will lead you to disappointment. Disappointment after disappointment, you’ll finally start losing hope.
You need to know that you can do so much better. You have to appreciate yourself enough to know when to walk away. You need to let him go to keep yourself.
Chasing the man you love won’t bring you anything good. It will only lead you to an emotional handicap.
You’ll be left with self-esteem issues and not be able to move on for a long time.
Chasing him is not how you’ll win him or keep him in your life. Some things are just meant to happen.
And some people just aren’t destined to be in your life. As much as you try, you can’t fight destiny.
