Love is not complicated. When you really love someone, it comes to you naturally to show your feelings and fight for them no matter what.
It comes to you naturally to make them your priority because you can’t imagine your life without them.
But, when you don’t love someone, you do the exact opposite. You treat them however you want because you don’t care how they’ll feel.
You let them wait because you don’t care about their time.
So, let’s get one thing straight: If he really loved you, he would make damn sure you knew it!
Yup. It’s that simple. If he really loved you, he would never make you question his intentions in the first place or make you overthink even the smallest of things.
If he really loved you, he would not just say it – he would prove it to you.
And that’s the biggest difference between real and fake love.
When you love someone, you don’t wait a second to tell them how much you appreciate their existence and everything they do for you.
When you love someone, you don’t wait a second to show it to them with your gestures and not only words.
If he really loved you, he would fight hard not to lose you.

If he really loved you, he would find a way to make you feel special and win you over. And he would find a way to keep you.
So, don’t you dare imagine things or finding excuses for his behavior, thinking that you’re the one to blame! You were there for him, but he didn’t want to see it or appreciate it. He wasn’t ready for love because he was incapable of loving. He never loved you.
And you were not in love with him either. You were in love with the idea of him.
You hoped that he will change, and he will start noticing your efforts, but he didn’t.
You hoped that one day you’ll wake up, and he will be there next to you, holding a flower in his hand, waiting to put it in your hair.
But, he never did that! And do you know why? Because he never loved you.
I know it’s hard to accept, but it’s the only way to break free from the limbo you’re in.
You waited for him to show you what true love is, but instead, he was only capable of showing you what love is not.
And it’s not your fault for believing that something will change. You did the right thing. You waited, but he never came to his senses. You were there, but he never bothered reciprocating. He was feasting on your pure love while giving you crumbs of his toxic one.
And now it’s time to let go of it! It’s time to let go of the idea that he ever loved you or that he would ever be capable of it because he isn’t, and he’ll never be.

Because he doesn’t understand how it feels to love someone and watch them spit in your face.
He doesn’t understand how it feels to treat someone as your priority when you know that to them, you’re just an option.
If he really loved you, he would understand all of that and beyond. If he really loved you, he would never make you cry or make you curse the day you met him.
If he really loved you, he would make damn sure to knock on your door and wait hours if needed, only to say that he’s sorry for everything he’s done and express his utter love for you.
But, he didn’t do it. He didn’t do it because he didn’t care whether you’re feeling loved or not. He was only thinking about himself and his wishes. And now it is time for you to think about yourself!
It’s time for you to start focusing on your own happiness and not only on the happiness of those who didn’t deserve your attention.
It’s time for you to accept the fact that he was never meant to stay because he was simply incapable of loving you, and all of this was just a test for you, preparing you for something bigger, greater.
Your bad choices don’t make you who you are! They enrich your life and teach you valuable lessons, but they never make you who you are.
You are a beautiful, strong woman who has gone through a lot and who deserves far better treatment than the one you were settling for.
You were settling for less even though you deserve the moon and the stars.
You were accepting lies even though you deserve the pure truth.
You gave him your heart even though you knew he would eventually break it.
And now it’s time to do everything in reverse. It’s time to stop dwelling upon your past because nothing will ever change.
Your life will only change when you decide it will.
It will change when you start accepting only the most beautiful things in life.
It will change when you start accepting the love that inspires you instead of the mediocre one. Start changing it. Be the change!
