I’m sure that there isn’t a girl out there who hasn’t been insecure about a flaw (or three!), am I right?
As humans, we are all born imperfect (yet perfectly enough for the right person) and therefore, striving for a flawless existence really seems pointless.
If you didn’t have your little ‘flaws’, you would never learn your lessons along the way.
If not for your ‘flaws’,’ you would be just like any other person out there.
And what’s so appealing about blending in with the crowd?
Wouldn’t you rather proudly stand out from the rest and be your badass, unique self?
Wouldn’t you rather OWN your ‘flaws’ and be confident in your own skin, while everyone else is trying to be a replica of an already existing individual?
Every imperfection you feel that you have is what makes you YOU.
Every wrinkle, every overreaction and all of your behavioral flaws are what make you so amazing.
And the best thing is, most of the things you see as flaws, other people find endearing and cute!
It’s true, I promise!
I’ve asked a ton of people, as I have been extremely insecure about a gazillion things and I feel so relieved to be able to say this and actually mean it.
There are 5 ‘flaws’ you have that actually make you lovable!
I bet you never expected to hear that, right?
Check it out and hopefully, you’ll find the beauty in every little imperfection that has bothered you for a long time.
It’s not that bad, I promise!
Here are some adorable imperfections that are all the more reason to love you.
1. The fact that you get embarrassed really easily
This is not something to feel bad about!
It means you’re humble and down to earth. It shows you’re not full of yourself and you’re not condescending.
And let’s face it, the world is FULL of people with those traits, so isn’t it actually awesome to be the opposite?
Being in a situation that makes you feel embarrassed (even though it’s not as bad as you think it is) makes you seem more approachable, reliable and generous.
It leaves a really lovely impression on people and paints a cute picture of you.
So stop worrying about this and own it!
2. The way your dimples look when you can’t stop laughing
I know so many people who don’t like their dimples but I really can’t figure out why?
It’s such a cute thing to see!
I promise you, everyone I’ve asked has said the same thing.
When you can’t stop laughing which causes your dimples to really stand out, it’s a really sweet thing to see.
Don’t try to make yourself not laugh simply because you feel insecure about those dimples.
It’s a fact that people LOVE them and the more you let go and laugh freely, the cuter you look.
Instead of forcing that smile to diminish, let it shine and be yourself!
3. Your no-filter personality
This one is something I personally used to struggle with but not anymore.
Want to know why?
Because I’ve realized that the only way to connect with people and find my favorite humans is by sharing what I want with whomever I want and not caring what anyone thinks about it!
How else are you supposed to find a mutual interest with a perfect stranger when you’re stuck in a room with them for whatever reason?
Don’t feel bad about being a chatterbox!
In reality, people LOVE this because it takes the pressure off of them!
Your ability to talk to anyone about anything makes you seem approachable and lovable so never question it again.
4. Being on the clumsy side
Girl… if I had a middle name, it would be ‘klutz’!
I swear to God!
Give me a tray and I’ll accidentally knock it over.
Ask me to hold your beer and I’ll probably spill it.
I’ve come to embrace the fact that I’m simply not the person to be in charge of anything breakable.
But guess what else?
This quirky quality of mine is a REALLY fun conversation starter.
When I start sharing about my little clumsy ‘adventures’ there isn’t a dry eye in the house from crying with laughter!
It’s what makes me human and instead of fighting it, I’ve embraced it.
If you’re a klutz like myself, find the fun side of it.
Be able to laugh at yourself.
It’s not an actual flaw, it’s simply a funny part of you that makes for a great topic of conversation and people are naturally drawn to those they can relate to!
5. Your brutal honesty
Never apologize for being real and never let anyone make you feel bad for it.
In a world filled with toxic manipulators and deceitful jerks, it’s refreshing to meet a person who will always tell you how it is!
I bet your friends LOVE hearing your refreshing honesty.
I bet it makes them feel like there’s at least one person out there who will tell them they are about to do something really shitty and face them with the facts.
It’s not a flaw, it’s actually an admirable trait!
Don’t let people make you feel otherwise.
If somebody can’t handle your truth, it means they don’t deserve it and that’s it.
I guarantee that those you hold close to you are extremely grateful for having you around.
